Paper New England project

Please post ideas using paper as music instrument, as a way to transform sound with paper, etc. OR other concepts/questions/suggestions about how we could create a performance that would actually be interesting!!!! Also, how could we collaborate with visual artists?

Unitarian Church performance

Please post ideas re: potential performance at the Unitarian Meetinghouse. The overall mood is on the quiet and contemplative side, although it doesn't necessarily mean that everything needs to be that all of the time.... I'd like to investigate ideas about small sized installations - electronic or acoustic; easy quiet pieces, either by us or other more 'well known' composers, like cage, feldman, etc.... other ideas???? I have a million, but I'd like to hear others'.

Gene Gort

FROM BILL:

Hey all

I got this reply back from Gene @ HAS.

First off, check out his show opening @ pond house this coming Sunday 4 -
6. Can anyone go? I wish I could, but will still be out of town. It would
be great if at least one person from HSA showed up to say hello, especially
since he was so supportive of our work last year. Will anyone be around to
check out the show for 30 mins???

Then, read the email. Is there interest in working with Gene on a show? I
was thinking that we could easily put together an improvisational concert
with his pieces, better than writing a lot of music. I think we should
pursue it. Comments?

Sorry I've been bombarding everyone with emails, but I had a free evening
last night and stayed in instead of going out for beers. Please take a
moment to soak everything in, and write back and let us all know what you're
thinking. [we also have that blog!!! let's use it!!!!]

I also have set up a meeting with Mattie @ Unitarian Meetinghouse for
Thursday, sept 11 @ 10am. If anyone is free and would like to come along,
let me know.
